Rely Packet Holding Time (PHT)ΒΆ

The time Rely holds a packet is important in order to:

  1. Minimize overall latency for ultra-low-latency applications.

We have run this experiment with 4 different rates of packet loss: 0%, 1%, 5%, and 10%. The Rely decoder was allowed to hold onto packets for 10 ms, so we have bounded the x-axis to the area, where the data-points were mostly concentrated.

This is a simulation of the encode-decode procedure on a local machine, so no network latency is simulated.

The time on the x-axis is in nanoseconds.
